Dr. Steve Crocker
Dr. Crocker was the founding chair of ICANN’s Security and Stability Committee and later chaired the ICANN board. He was the founding director of Aerospace Corp’s Computer Science Lab, and a co-founder of Cybercash, one of the earliest digital currencies developed in 1998. He was a board member of the Internet Society and was inducted into the Internet Hall of Fame in 2012. As part of the Arpanet project 1968-71, Dr. Crocker led Network Working Group’s development of the original suite of protocols. He also invented the Request For Comment (RFC) memorandum system today used by projects such as Ethereum Request for Comment (ERC) in the blockchain sector.
